Neil Young 1971 HEART OF GOLD
Live from 1971. Neil digs around in his pockets trying to find the right harp and then plays a new song...Heart of Gold.

MY FATHER'S EYES
Sailing down behind the sun,
Waiting for my prince to come.
Praying for the healing rain
To restore my soul again.
Just a toerag on the run.
How did I get here?
What have I done?
When will all my hopes arise?
How will I know him?
When I look in my father's eyes.
My father's eyes.
When I look in my father's eyes.
My father's eyes.
Then the light begins to shine
And I hear those ancient lullabies.
And as I watch this seedling grow,
Feel my heart start to overflow.
Where do I find the words to say?
How do I teach him?
What do we play?
Bit by bit, I've realized
That's when I need them,
That's when I need my father's eyes.
My father's eyes.
That's when I need my father's eyes.
My father's eyes.
Then the jagged edge appears
Through the distant clouds of tears.
I'm like a bridge that was washed away;
My foundations were made of clay.
As my soul slides down to die.
How could I lose him?
What did I try?
Bit by bit, I've realized
That he was here with me;
I looked into my father's eyes.
My father's eyes.
I looked into my father's eyes.
My father's eyes.
My father's eyes.
My father's eyes.
I looked into my father's eyes.
My father's eyes.

R I P USMC R. LEE ERMEY
Subject Gunnery Sergeant Hartman aka R. Lee Ermey
RIP R. Lee Ermey, 1944-2010
It's with a heavy heart that I find myself writing this about someone I've admired for many years. Ever since "Full Metal Jacket", R. Lee Ermey emboded the image of a hard-ass Marine for most of us. He was a person whose personal life was as interesting as the characters he portrayed. Serving in the Marines from 1961-1972 as a staff seargent, he was later given the honorary rank of gunnery seargent because of his ongoing support of military personnel everywhere, and because of his gritty portrayal of Gunny Hartmann.
He had a decorated career before being medically retired in 1972 because of the numerous injuries he sustained in his years of service.
Ermey succumbed to complications associated with pneuomonia at 3:14 AM at his home in San Diego . His nearly sixty film appearances will continue to inspire and cement his legacy for many years to come.
Give 'em hell, Gunny!

Are you a WORDSMITH or a Word Buff
Word Buff
Most people know of a word buff, but they just found this very interesting...
Did you know:
* That the words "race car" spelled backward still spells "race car".
* That "eat" is the only word that if you take the 1st letter and move
it to the last, it spells its past tense "ate".
* And Have you noticed that if you rearrange the letters in "illegal immigrants", and add just a few more letters, it spells out: "Go home you f*****ng, free-loading, benefit grabbing, kid-producing, violent, non-English speaking assholes and take those other hairy-faced, sandal wearing, bomb making, goat loving, rag-headed, raggedy ass Muslim bastards with you."
How weird is that????
